West Ham United were beaten 2-0 by Watford in David Moyes’ first match in charge.

West Ham’s travelling support at Vicarage Road could be heard chanting ‘sack the board’ as frustrations rose with their side’s performance.
And Moyes has admitted that he was taken aback by the criticism that David Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady were receiving.

He said: “I want everyone to be together. I am not aware of the problems before I came, I was a bit surprised when I heard it [the board criticism]. I want them behind us to give us a chance of winning.”
West Ham fans have been left frustrated with their board, as they have been accused of showing a lack of ambition.
West Ham haven’t spent particularly heavily in recent transfer windows, and Moyes’ appointment has also not gone down well at all.

Moyes lost his first match in charge of West Ham against Watford 2-0, in what was a highly disappointing result for the Hammers.
West Ham are next in action tomorrow evening against Leicester City, and a victory will lift them out of the relegation zone.
