Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji has struggled in some matches since signing at the Stadium of Light.
David Moyes has admitted to the Chronicle that Sunderland defender Papy Djilobodji has struggled in recent times.
Djilobodji arrived at Sunderland last summer, and he has struggled while at the Stadium of Light in some matches.
The powerful centre-back was off the pace last weekend, when Sunderland took on Stoke City.
Djilobodji struggled to deal with Peter Crouch’s presence, as Sunderland fell 3-0 down against Stoke City.

And although Moyes admits that Djilobodji may have came off if he had some better options, the Scottish boss claims that he has little chance but to persevere with the Senegalese defender.
“There’s some of the games he’s found difficult but at the moment we don’t have a lot of other resources,” Moyes said. “But I thought he stuck at it.
“He had a difficult day against Crouch but he came through it.

“There are moments I’ve seen in Papy in other games as well which maybe haven’t been as noticeable.”
Moyes has made no secret of the fact that he would like to make additions in the January transfer window to strengthen his squad.
However, Sunderland have already publicly confirmed that they do not have much money to spend, so they are hunting for bargain buys.
Sunderland are currently in 19th place in the Premier League table, but they are just one point away from safety.
