West Ham United manager David Moyes worked with Javier Hernandez at Manchester United.

Hernandez worked with Moyes at Manchester United when the Scotsman was in charge of the Red Devils during the 2013-14 season.
The Mexico international striker failed to make an impact at Old Trafford when Moyes was the first-team manager.

West Ham signed the 29-year-old striker from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer transfer window.
Moyes, who recently replaced Slaven Bilic as the Hammers’ manager, has addressed the situation with Hernandez.
The former Sunderland and Everton boss has explained why the Mexican did not get chances under him at United, and has said that the ex-Guadalajara star will play for him at the London Stadium if he does well.

“He’s a top goalscorer, a brilliant finisher,” Moyes told The Guardian about Hernandez. “It was difficult for him at United because I had Robin van Persie, Wayne Rooney, Danny Welbeck, Shinji Kagawa, so there was lots of competition.
“But he’ll be treated the same here – if he’s playing well and scoring, no problems. If he’s not, it will be the same as the rest.”
“He won’t be getting any special treatment,” Moyes told The Sun about Hernandez. “If he is scoring goals and working hard, he will be in. It will be the same for the rest of the team.”
West Ham are struggling in the Premier League at the moment and are in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
