Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick made 77 appearances for Nottingham Forest earlier in his career.
Ipswich Town forward David McGoldrick has told the GreenUn that he has definitely become a better player since leaving Nottingham Forest.
McGoldrick is a Forest supporter and he was signed by his boyhood club back in 2009 from Southampton.
However, things didn’t work out as planned for McGoldrick at the City Ground.

The powerful forward never found his top form at Forest – and he only managed to score nine goals in 77 matches.
Forest gave McGoldrick three seasons to find his feet, but he was never able to, and he eventually was sold to Ipswich in 2012.

McGoldrick has been at Ipswich ever since, and he has become a regular scorer at Championship level.
The 28-year-old is set to come up against Forest this weekend, when his Ipswich side host Philippe Montanier’s men, and McGoldrick feels that he is a much better player now than when he was representing the Reds.
“Since I left Forest I’ve become a much better player, I’m showing what I can do and I think they all know what a player I should have been when I was there,” he said.
McGoldrick has scored two goals in six appearances for the Tractor Boys so far during this campaign.
