Newcastle United winger Kenedy is close pals with David Luiz.

Kenedy is on loan at Newcastle and has quickly won over fans, scoring two goals and providing two assists in eight games.
The 22-year-old’s future is unclear, but Luiz is thrilled for his pal’s success.

The Brazil international said: “He is a great boy with a big heart. I try to watch all of Newcastle’s games and he calls me to ask about his performance.
“But he should not worry, he has been amazing. I am cheering all the goals.’
“I spoke with him before he left in January and told him he would love Newcastle. I told him about the great support and atmosphere. Now he is in love. I am not surprised.
“Rafa Benitez is also a great friend of mine. I told Kenedy that he would find a special coach, a special person who would improve him as a player and also as a man. I told him he is in good hands.”

Kenedy’s transfer value has rocketed with his loan and Newcastle might not be able to afford him.
Their relatively modest transfer budget is a shame, as in an ideal world they would swoop for his pal David Luiz too.
Luiz cost Chelsea £34 million in 2016 but he has reportedly fallen out with manager Antonio Conte, SkySports report, and right now he would probably love to have Benitez managing him.
