Gabigol has scored 26 Flamengo goals on loan from Serie A outfit Inter Milan – is he moving to the Premier League with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs?

Tottenham Hotspur have apparently taken note of Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa and the Inter Milan loanee has another big admirer in North London – Arsenal centre-back and fellow Samba star David Luiz.
According to Sky Sports, ‘Gabigol’ is an option for Spurs in the January transfer window with the 2016 Olympic gold medallist in the form of his life during a loan spell at Flamengo.
He has plundered 26 goals in 31 games back home in Brazil with Sky claiming that Tottenham’s chief scout Steve Hitchen travelled to South America and watched Gabigol in action during the Copa Libertadores semi-final between Flamengo and Gremio.
And Luiz, who signed for Tottenham’s arch rivals Arsenal over the summer, is pleased to see a natural-born goalscorer find his golden touch again after a £29 million move to Inter went horribly wrong.
“What makes me happy is to see the quality of Brazilian football. You see Jorge Jesus with Flamengo, and the great players like Felipe, Rafinha, Gerson, Gagibol, who’s back shining as he did at first at Santos,” the poodle-haired former Chelsea favourite told ESPN, translated by Goal.

“So without a doubt, I’m happy for (the state of Brazilian football). I am glad about the ever-growing quality.”
It is no secret that Tottenham are arguably more over-relliant on Harry Kane than ever with Fernando Llorente, who acted as a back up to the England captain for two seasons, being released by Mauricio Pochettino’s side in the summer.
Gabigol would represent a risky signing, however, given that he flopped badly during his previous European sojourn, scoring just once for Inter. According to PassioneInter, Antonio Conte’s side will sell the striker for £26 million.
