Some of the West Bromwich Albion faithful have been expressing their displeasure during recent matches.

West Bromwich Albion’s assistant manager David Kemp has been speaking about the booing by some Baggies fans in recent weeks, with his comments published online by ESPN.

West Brom’s fans showed their discontent after the 0-0 draw against fierce rivals Aston Villa last month and there was more of the same as the Baggies scraped a 1-1 draw with Swansea City on Tuesday evening.

With the Swans 1-0 up heading into injury-time it looked as though Tony Pulis’s side would drop all three points but summer signing Salomon Rondon rescued the Baggies with a late equaliser.

The point lifted West Brom up to 13th but sections of the fans were clearly not happy; something Kemp cannot comprehend.

“Fans pay their money but I’ve got to be honest, I don’t quite understand that,” Kemp said.

“In the old days, when I was a young man, fans came along to cheer their heroes; now they seem to wait for an opportunity to have a bit of a moan.”

West Brom are currently eight points clear of the relegation zone and when you consider some of the big-name clubs struggling in or around the bottom three the Baggies supporters should be grateful they are enjoying a relatively comfortable campaign.
