Leeds United picked up an important win on Sunday afternoon as they beat Burnley 1-0 at Elland Road.
Patrick Bamford scored the only goal of the game, firing home from the penalty spot having been brought down by Nick Pope.
Leeds had to withstand pressure from Burnley in the second half, but held firm to claim all three points and keep a clean sheet in the process.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men came in for criticism following the 6-2 defeat at Manchester United, but were defensively solid against the Clarets on Sunday.
One of the star performers was Illan Meslier, as the French goalkeeper turned in a fine performance to help Leeds claim all three points.
Meslier made six saves and a huge eight clearances on his way to keeping a clean sheet, and it came at the perfect time.

The Sun reported over the weekend that Leeds want to sign West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone, but Meslier showed that he is a star in his own right.
Ex-England goalkeeper David James took to Twitter to hail Meslier, praising him for his confidence coming for crosses whilst noticing that his teammates congratulated him at full time.
James did though add praise for Johnstone too, after he turned in a fine performance to help West Bromwich Albion pick up a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield – and Leeds may have had one eye on his display.
