Jonny Hayes looks set to join Celtic from Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.

David Hay has suggested in The Glasgow Evening Times that Aberdeen winger Jonny Hayes would be a good signing for Celtic.
According to The Scottish Sun, Hayes has competed a medical at Celtic and is set to join the Bhoys from Scottish Premiership rivals Aberdeen in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that the 29-year-old winger will cost Brendan Rodgers’s side a transfer fee of £1.3 million.

Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay believes that the Republic of Ireland international would be a good signing for the Hoops.
“The capture of Jonny Hayes might not have been seen as the so called superstar name that many might have cried out for – but to me he ticks all the boxes in terms of being a sensible and solid signing,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times about Hayes.
“Hayes has obviously worked with Brendan Rodgers at Reading when he was just a kid and they clearly have a strong working relationship,” added Hay.
“As we have seen already from the season that has just concluded, that can be so important – Scott Sinclair’s career was entirely re-invigorated by getting back to work with a manager who knew him and knew how to get the best out of him.”
Hayes knows the Scottish Premiership inside out, and the winger would be a brilliant signing for Celtic.
The 29-year-old would enhance the Bhoys’ chances of winning the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup again next season.
The former Leicester City and Inverness Caledonian Thistle winger would also enhance the quality and depth of the squad, which would come in handy should the Glasgow giants progress to the group stage of the Champions League during the 2017-18 campaign.
