David Hay seems to rate Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon highly.

The former Celtic midfielder and manager has maintained that despite Gordon’s mistake against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week, he is a very good goalkeeper.
A defensive mix-up between Dedryck Boyata and Gordon saw Kingsley Coman score the first goal for Bayern at Celtic Park on Tuesday evening.
Although Brendan Rodgers’s side subsequently equalised, the German and European giants found the net again to win the group-stage game 2-1.

Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment, but the former Heart of Midlothian and Sunderland custodian has made costly errors from time to time.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay has defended the 34-year-old and still rates the Scotland international highly.

“I still maintain, though, that Gordon is a class keeper,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times. “I know there have been things said elsewhere but for me he remains a top-class goalkeeper and I wouldn’t be hanging him out to dry for that one.
“I think he has proved his worth to Celtic time and time again in big games and I am sure he will again in this European campaign.”
Celtic can no longer progress to the last-16 stage of the Champions League this season, but the Glasgow giants can still drop to the Europa League.
