David Hay speaks highly of Celtic star Scott Brown.
Brown has featured in 29 Scottish Premiership matches for Celtic so far this season, proving three assists in the process, according to Transfermarkt.com.
Celtic have already won the Scottish League Cup this season, and the Glasgow giants look set to clinch the Scottish Premiership title yet again.
Brendan Rodgers’s side have also reached the final of the Scottish Cup, as the Hoops look set to win the domestic treble for the second season in a row.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay has stated that Brown is the Player of the Season in the Scottish Premiership, and has claimed that he has been revitalised under manager Rodgers.
Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times: “Scott Brown has been head and shoulders above.
“He has been outstanding this season and, again, what you would have to look to is the sheer consistency that he has shown. He is a guy who has been completely revitalised under Rodgers.”
Quality player
Brown is one of the best midfielders in Scotland and is playing well for Celtic at the moment.
A very consistent and combative midfielder, the 32-year-old has been superb for the Hoops since the summer of 2007 when he joined from Hibernian for a transfer fee reported by The Guardian to be worth £4.4 million.
