David Hay seems to rate Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon highly.
Celtic’s Craig Gordon
David Hay has given his backing to Celtic goalkeeper Craig Gordon in The Glasgow Evening Times.
Gordon is the first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic at the moment, but his performances in recent times have not been great.
The 33-year-old is a very good goalkeeper, but there is a feeling that Celtic could do better.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay has suggested that the club should retain faith in the Scotland international.

“I think he is an excellent goalkeeper and I think that for the time being he will remain the first choice stopper at the club,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times about Gordon.
“He has high standards that he set for himself with his level of performance and I suspect that with a settled team in from of him again and a team that are playing with confidence then we will see the best of him again.”

According to a recent report in The Scottish Sun, Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to sign a goalkeeper before the end of the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Rodgers wants to bring in a goalkeeper following the injury suffered by Logan Bailly.
Bailly, who is 30 years of age, is the second-choice goalkeeper between the posts behind Craig Gordon.
The Belgian is on the sidelines at the moment with an ankle injury, as reported by The Daily Mail.
According to The Scottish Sun, Celtic manager Rodgers will turn his attention towards signing a goalkeeper following the signing of Scott Sinclair from Aston Villa.
