Edouard joined Scottish Premiership side Celtic from Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain on transfer deadline day.
As stated on the Bhoys’ official website, the Glasgow giants have secured the services of the 19-year-old forward on a season-long loan deal with the option to sign him on a permanent contract.
The 19-year-old French forward has arrived at Celtic Park with a strong reputation and will be aiming to hit the ground running.
Former Celtic midfielder and manager Hay, 69, has shared his opinion on Edouard, and has praised the Bhoys’ decision to sign him.
“I have been saying since January that even with two fit strikers at the club that the Parkhead side needed a third strike and Edouard is the type of players that slots in nicely,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times.
“He is a young guy with a point to prove, looking for game time and you would have to feel that he fits the mould for Celtic; he is young and wants to develop and if there is an option to buy agreed as has been reported then it means that the club cannot really lose.”
Edouard is a talented and promising young forward, and the teenager is going to enhance the quality of the current Celtic squad.
The Glasgow giants have two of the best strikers in the Scottish Premiership in Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths, and the presence of the youngster is only going to be beneficial for the Hoops as the season progresses.
