West Ham United fans are growing increasingly frustrated at the board’s lack of expenditure on the team.

Hammers co-owner David Gold once again took to Twitter to defend the board’s actions with regards to transfers, responding to a fan who suggested that they are more interested in lining their own pockets.
West Ham have endured a miserable campaign this season, after making a whole host of extremely disappointing signings last summer – none of whom have gone on to have a positive influence on the first-team.
What has made matters doubly worse this term is the fact that the club have regressed, and have fallen way short of expectations, after last season’s seventh placed finish, and subsequent qualification for the Europa League.
And Gold, along with David Sullivan and Karren Brady, has had to endure heavy criticism from Hammers fans who believe they have been taken for a ride.
The West Ham co-chairman posted an emphatic response via Twitter, however, after being accused of failing to offer Slaven Bilic sufficient financial backing:
This summer will be a vitally important one for West Ham as a club, the board and Slaven Bilic.
And there will surely not be too many more chances for Gold, Sullivan and Bilic to prove themselves to the Hammers faithful, after a disastrous last couple of transfer windows.
