West Ham United released goalkeeper Adrian last week.

West Ham United’s summer cull continued today, as midfielder Edimilson Fernandes and striker Lucas Perez have joined Mainz and Alaves respectively.
The Hammers are attempting to trim their squad, and these latest departures follow on from a major exodus last week, which included the departures of big earners Andy Carroll and Samir Nasri.
One of the players to leave in that bunch was goalkeeper Adrian, with the Spaniard released as the end of his contract at the London Stadium.
The 32-year-old Spaniard has been popular with West Ham fans since his 2013 arrival from Real Betis, but has struggled for first-team football behind Lukasz Fabianski.
Adrian now moves on, and Goal recently reported that Liverpool had been talking about making a move to sign him as backup for Alisson.

Simon Mignolet is likely to go, so the Reds may well have seen Adrian as a Premier League veteran to come in and sit on the bench, offering cover for Alisson in case of injury.
However, West Ham co-owner David Gold has taken to Twitter to claim that Adrian has left the club because he’s desperate to play first-team football after a season on the bench – and with next to no chance of displacing Alisson, it seems that Adrian won’t be making the move to Anfield after all, barring a surprise change of heart.
