The 16-year-old, who can play as a central defender or as a defensive midfielder, was an unused substitute during West Ham’s Premier League game against Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Sunday evening.
West Ham have a very good academy, and Oxford is a prime example of that.
The London club’s fans should remain optimistic about the future, especially as Gold and co-chairman David Sullivan have lofty ambitions.
The Hammers’ performances and results have dipped recently, but they are very much in the running for a top-six finish in the Premier League this season.
