West Ham co-owner David Gold has urged supporters to be proud of the London Stadium.

The Hammers moved into the ground back in the summer, having sold Upton Park which is now being demolished.

To say it has garnered a mixed reaction from fans might be generous, with supporters missing the intimacy of their former ground.

Club co-owner David Gold has urged supporters to start feeling positively about the stadium, and accept it’s imperfections.

West Ham’s cause is not helped by plans underway by London rivals Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur to both construct purpose built football stadiums, which could really put West Ham’s ground in the shade.

By time they are built, the London Stadium might be feeling a little more like home to Hammers fans, but right now we wouldn’t bet on it.
