West Ham United have had little luck with injuries so far this season.

Hammers co-owner David Gold took to Twitter this morning to provide a positive update on Diafra Sakho’s rehabilitation from injury.
West Ham have been short of forward options over the past few months, with injuries sustained by Sakho and Andy Carroll, and Slaven Bilic has been forced to use Michail Antonio as an auxiliary striker on more than one occasion.
The 27-year-old Senegal international has made just two appearances for the East London outfit this season, and has not played since he suffered a back injury against Manchester United in November.
Gold took to Twitter this morning, however, and posted a positive update regarding the striker’s recovery:
Sakho moved to West Ham from Metz in the summer of 2014, for a fee believed to be in the region of £3.5 million, and has since gone on to establish himself as somewhat of a fans’ favourites at the club, making 52 appearances in the process.
Although his return to first team action is still expected to be a long way off yet, if he can play any part at all in the remainder of the Hammers’ campaign, then it would be a major boost for the squad, and a feather in the West Ham medical team’s cap.
