Hammers co-owner David Gold shared his excitement at the quality currently present amongst the West Ham squad, highlighting the club’s strength in depth as something that will prove to be hugely valuable for Slaven Bilic in the future, when writing his regular column for the club’s official website.
The East London outfit have managed to turn their season around over the past two months, and the transformation in both performances and results has been dramatic.
Bilic brought in Jose Fonte and Robert Snodgrass in the January transfer window and, in doing so, strengthened an already strong squad.
They have had to cope without some of their key men for prolonged periods of time this season, and the fact that they are in mid-table highlights just how many options the Croatian has available to him – a sentiment echoed by Gold when writing his regular column for WHUFC.com:

And with the Hammers expected to invest heavily once again in the summer, there could be exciting times on the horizon for West Ham.
Bilic must learn from last summer’s disastrous recruitment drive, however, and target the right players, with the specific attributes required to play in whatever system he chooses to implement.
