Hammers co-owner David Gold raved about the camaraderie currently present amongst the players at the club, when writing his regular column for West Ham’s official website, suggesting it is unlike anything he has seen during the 20 years that he has been involved in football.

Slaven Bilic seems to have induced a far more unified feeling into his group of players, especially after Dimitri Payet was sold in January, and their new found team spirit has coincided with a fantastic run of form.

The East London outfit’s last 10 league games have seen them pick up six wins and a draw, and they now sit in 10th position in the Premier League table, just nine points adrift of seventh placed Everton.

And Gold praised the team spirit currently present at the club, when writing his regular column for WHUFC.com:

“The spirit in the camp is fantastic at the moment. I go to the training ground and have not seen camaraderie like it in the 20-years I have been in football.”

Bilic has always been respected and well-liked by the players, and has showcased the ability to lift his squad, even through the darkest of times, on a consistent basis.

The next challenge for the Hammers is to develop more consistency and cut out some of the the heavy defeats, which can be so detrimental to their progression.

And maybe then, Bilic’s side can reach their true potential.
