David Gold has taken to Twitter to react after watching footage of Michail Antonio scoring a wondergoal for Jamaica last night.
What’s the story?
Well, the £70,000-a-week West Ham man scored his second goal in three games for Jamaica yesterday, and what a strike it was.
Antonio picked the ball up by the centre circle, before driving down the left and cutting inside on his stronger right foot.
Then, roughly 30 yards from goal, the 31-year-old unleashed a thunderous shot which flew into the top-right corner.
It was arguably the best goal of Antonio’s career.
Gold was certainly impressed – you can see the 85-year-old’s reaction below.
Hopefully, the West Ham No.9 feels good fitness wise after the 1-1 draw with the United States, and is ready to face Wolves on Saturday.
Michail Antonio is on fire for West Ham

At 31, you’d have thought Antonio would be past his best years in football, but he seems to be getting even better.
So far this season, the former Nottingham Forest powerhouse has scored seven goals in 13 appearances, while also providing four assists.
That is without including his two goals for Jamaica.

Antonio is currently among the best players in Europe this season, and he also seems to have found a way to manage his body better.
The injuries that once disturbed his rhythm seem to have left him – touch wood – and hopefully, he’ll continue to get better and better for the Irons.
