The Hammers got the better of Newcastle 3-0 away from home at St. James’ Park in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Javier Hernandez scored twice for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, while Felipe Anderson added a third in injury time.
West Ham co-chairman Gold has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for the London club, and claimed that the visiting team’s fans outsung the Newcastle supporters.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at St. James’ Park on Saturday afternoon, hosts Newcastle had 59% of the possession, took 16 shots of which four were on target, and earned seven corners, according to BBC Sport.
Visitors West Ham had 41% of the possession, took seven shots of which four were on target, and earned three corners, according to BBC Sport.
The win against Newcastle means that West Ham are now 13th in the Premier League table with 15 points from 14 matches.
