The West Ham United youngster is arguably the club’s most valuable asset.

West Ham co-owner David Gold sat down for an exclusive interview with the Sun, and raved about the quality of Declan Rice, labelling the Hammers star as a ‘special player’.
The 20-year-old has been in sensational form for West Ham this season, making 32 appearances in all competitions, and he has also earned two caps for the England national team.
Rice has already firmly established himself as a fan favourite amongst the Hammers faithful, and he undoubtedly has an extremely exciting career ahead of him in the game.
And West Ham co-owner Gold offered high words of praise for the Hammers ace, during an exclusive interview with the Sun, suggesting that the youngster will go on to captain his country one day:

“The West Ham fans are craving a new hero and they’ve got one in Declan. He is special, no question about it. He is an England captain of the future in my mind.”
West Ham are currently in a real scrap in the race for the final Europa League spot, and if they are to have any chance whatsoever of achieving European football for next season, Rice will have to be on his very best form between now and May.
