The winger has been impressive since joining West Ham United last summer.
West Ham United’s Michail Antonio celebrates scoring their first goal
West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has told the club’s official website he feels Michail Antonio is worthy of an England call up.
The winger was one of the Hammers star men last season with a series of impressive performances following a summer switch from Nottingham Forest.
He has had a mixed start to this season, with an awful display in the opening day defeat to Chelsea, where he was replaced after giving away a penalty.

He bounced back last weekend though, scoring the winning goal against Bournemouth in West Ham’s first ever game at the London Stadium.
That is the performance Gold is focusing on, saying Antonio is a special player and worthy of an international opportunity.
“We talk all the time about Andy Carroll and our wonderful captain Mark Noble over their chances of getting in the England team,” he told the club’s official website.
“I am a great supporter of that, but I also feel Michail should be given consideration because he is a special player and worthy of an England opportunity.”

It will certainly be interesting to see if the likes of Antonio can make it into the England team under new manager Sam Allardyce.
Roy Hodgson overlooked wingers in his last squad, instead preferring number tens such as Adam Lallana to fill in the role.
It is likely that Allardyce will go down a different route though and it remains to be seen if the likes of Antonio have done enough to catch the eye.
