Diafra Sakho has left West Ham United for Rennes in the January transfer window.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has revealed on social networking site Twitter that Diafra Sakho did not want to be at the club.
Sakho has left Premier League side West Ham for Ligue 1 outfit Rennes in France in the January transfer window.
According to Sky Sports, Rennes had to pay the Hammers a transfer fee of £8 million in order to secure the services of the 28-year-old striker.
West Ham co-chairman Gold has revealed on Twitter that the former Metz striker did not want to stay at the London Stadium.

Sakho joined West Ham from Metz in 2014, and although the striker started his career at the Hammers strongly, he could not find consistency.
The 28-year-old also had injury issues, and it made sense for West Ham to sell him in the January transfer window.
The Hammers do have some good strikers on their books at the moment, and one suspects that Sakho will not be missed by David Moyes’s side.
