West Ham United drew 0-0 with Arsenal on Wednesday night.
West Ham United chairman David Gold has taken to Twitter to reflect on the performance in the 0-0 draw against Arsenal – and agreed with one fan’s assessment on the game.
The Hammers beat Chelsea 1-0 in a surprise victory on Saturday afternoon, handing manager David Moyes his first win as West Ham boss in the process.
Just days after that victory, West Ham were back in action against another London rival, as they hosted Arsenal at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
West Ham turned in another strong performance as they held the Gunners to a 0-0 draw, and could even have won it when Javier Hernandez hit the crossbar late on.
It’s another point towards West Ham’s push for survival, and whilst they remain in the bottom three, picking up four points from two tough games against Chelsea and Arsenal has to be seen as a positive.
Moyes will be hoping to pick up another positive result at Stoke City this weekend, and Hammers co-owner David Gold has taken to Twitter to offer a reaction to Wednesday’s draw.
One West Ham fan sent a message to Gold about the performance, suggesting that West Ham look fitter, sharper and more positive under Moyes than they did under Slaven Bilic, with Gold agreeing with that assessment.
Fans responded to Gold’s tweet, with some delighted with the upturn in performances, and others criticising Gold for not making a managerial change earlier, as West Ham still lie 19th approaching Christmas.
