West Ham United fans have become disillusioned with the club’s owners over the past 12 months.

Hammers co-owner David Gold took to his official Twitter account today, and responded to a fan’s tweet, praising him and the rest of the board for the work they have done during their time in East London.

He then had to defend the club’s actions to another fan, who was in far more of a disgruntled mood.

Gold, David Sullivan and Karren Brady have had to endure heavy criticism from West Ham fans for the manner in which they have overseen proceedings since 2010.

And this season has seen the relationship between fans and owners strained to near toxic levels, after a whole host of free signings and loan moves were made in the summer of 2016.

Unsurprisingly, Slaven Bilic’s men have subsequently struggled.

But there are some fans out there who are still firmly in Gold and Sullivan’s camp:

And contrastingly, Gold took to Twitter in response to a fan who suggested that the majority of the fanbase would like to see them take more of a gamble:

The Hammers currently sit in 12th position in the Premier League table, after a disastrous run that has seen them take just two points from their last five league outings.

And if they continue their slide down the table, Gold can expect to be even busier on Twitter, swatting away the critics once again.
