West Ham United beat Crystal Palace 3-0 at the London Stadium this afternoon.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to Twitter in order to react to the club’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace this afternoon.

The Hammers went into the game on a real low, having not only lost 5-0 to Manchester City in their last outing, but also due to Dimitri Payet’s demands to leave the club earlier this week.

Payet’s attempts to lave the club cast something of a shadow over the London Stadium as they took on London rivals Crystal Palace at home, but Slaven Bilic’s men did end up grabbing the win.

West Ham were quiet in the first half, but took the lead through Algerian winger Sofiane Feghouli, and then made it 2-0 when Andy Carroll produced a stunning bicycle kick.

Manuel Lanzini then capped off the win with a deft lob over Wayne Hennessey, as West Ham produced a thumping win to help fans forget all about their problems with Payet.

After the final whistle, Hammers co-chairman David Gold took to Twitter to offers his thoughts on the game, and even named his man of the match.

Gold suggested that West Ham were ‘fantastic’ in the second half, and that the fans were ‘terrific’, whilst stating that Andy Carroll was the best player on the park.
