The Hammers went into today’s game having beaten Crystal Palace 3-0 at the London Stadium last weekend, and they found the net three times again this afternoon.

Andy Carroll got the ball rolling, thumping home a superb header from Manuel Lanzini’s corner before Cristhian Stuani tapped home from close range to pull Boro level.
Carroll made it 2-1 before half time, turning home from close range after Victor Valdes had kept out Michail Antonio’s shot, and Jonathan Calleri added a third late on via a deflection from Adam Clayton.

The result takes West Ham up into tenth place in the Premier League table, and they’ve now won five of the last seven games as Slaven Bilic finally beings to string together a run of form.
The West Ham board are being rewarded for their faith in Bilic, and with the Croatian still having to handle the situation surrounding wantaway playmaker Dimitri Payet, results on the pitch are a real positive.
After the final whistle at the Riverside Stadium, West Ham co-chairman David Gold took to Twitter to offer his reaction to the win – and he clearly feels as ecstatic as many Hammers fans this evening.
Gold called the victory ‘terrific’, hailing goalscorers and Andy Carroll and Jonathan Calleri before calling the fans ‘magnificent’ after an all-round superb afternoon for the club.
