David Gold posted on Twitter yesterday evening, that he was still hurting after West Ham United’s 4-2 defeat against Watford yesterday.
The Hammers had taken a 2-0 advantage early on in the match, after Michail Antonio hit a double.
However, Watford hit back and scored four goals without reply to secure the three points.
West Ham’s performance was well below par, as they continue to adapt to their new surroundings, and Gold admits that the result was a frustration.
West Ham built their success last season on the strength of their home form, but they have already lost twice in front of their own fans in all in competitions this term.
Slaven Bilic’s side’s defensive display was the cause of their problems against Watford, and the Hornets’ took full advantage of the host’s deficiencies.
West Ham are now in 17th place in the Premier League table after the first four matches, while Watford have climbed up to 10th position.
