Gold has praised the midfielder’s passion and honesty following West Ham’s defeat to Southampton last weekend.
The Hammers suffered a 3-0 defeat to Southampton at the London Stadium in the Premier League.
Following the match, Noble criticised his team’s performance and claimed that it was not good enough, as reported by Sky Sports.
West Ham co-chairman Gold has praised the 29-year-old for showing passion and being honest.
“I know Mark Noble was very honest in his assessment of the Southampton performance straight after the game and he doesn’t hide from anything,” Gold wrote on West Ham’s official website.
“I admire his passion and honesty and I know that he will be working his socks off with the other players to put things right.
“This is not the place they wanted to be in at this stage and it is about pride and wanting to get out of the bottom three.”
West Ham were poor against Southampton and deserved to lose against the Saints.
The Hammers need to step up their game this weekend when they take on Middlesbrough at the London Stadium.
Boro are struggling as well, which means that Slaven Bilic’s side have a good chance of picking up all three points from the encounter.
Noble has featured in six Premier League appearances for West Ham so far this season, creating six chances in the process.
The London outfit are third from bottom in the table at the moment with three points from six games.
