West Ham United picked up a fine win on Friday night, beating London neighbours Fulham 3-1 at the London Stadium.

The Hammers were dreadful early on and went behind to a Ryan Babel goal, but they eventually turned things around against Claudio Ranieri’s strugglers.

Javier Hernandez’s contentious equaliser stood despite a clear handball, before goals from Issa Diop and Michail Antonio rounded off the win.

Ahead of the midweek game against Manchester City, West Ham sit ninth in the Premier League table, just four points off seventh place and a potential return to the Europa League qualifiers.

That will be Manuel Pellegrini’s aim, and he will be boosted by the returns of Manuel Lanzini and Samir Nasri in the final third, but also defender Fabian Balbuena at the back.

West Ham fans will be hoping for a strong end to the season, and David Gold has summed up the strength of the squad with a Twitter post last night.

Pellegrini selected Adrian, Ryan Fredericks, Pedro Obiang, Andy Carroll, Marko Arnautovic, Lanzini and Nasri as his bench on Friday night, and Gold claims it’s the strongest West Ham bench in a decade – something fans may now discuss amongst themselves.
