West Ham United will face Arsenal in the Premier League this evening.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has stated on the club’s official website that he would love to see Andy Carroll score a hat-trick against Arsenal this weekend.

The Hammers will take on London rivals Arsenal at the London Stadium in the Premier League this evening.

Carroll could feature against the Gunners, having recovered from a long-term injury. In fact, the England international striker could even start for West Ham against Arsenal.

West Ham co-chairman Gold has stated that he would love to see the 27-year-old striker score a hat-trick against Arsene Wenger’s side.

Back in April 2016, the former Newcastle United and Liverpool striker scored a seven-minute hat-trick to help the Gunners play out a 3-3 draw with Arsenal at Upton Park.

“Hopefully we will see Andy Carroll back in the squad and that will give everyone a lift in the dressing room,” Gold wrote on West Ham’s official website.

“Andy has worked so hard to regain full fitness and he knows the importance of getting back on the pitch and showing his best form.

“The medical team have held him back to ensure he is ready and I know he will be desperate to play another big part against Arsenal.

“Few could forget his memorable hat-trick against the north London Club last season and we would all love to see him repeat that again!”

Carroll trained with his West Ham teammates on Friday ahead of Saturday evening’s match against Arsenal.

As the following pictures show, the English striker was in good spirits and seemed to be enjoying himself.

West Ham are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 12 points from 13 matches.
