West Ham United co-owner David Gold has delivered a reassuring transfer update for the club’s fans on Twitter.
The Hammers have been linked with a number of players this month and have seen bids for the likes of Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe, Hull City’s Robert Snodgrass and Brentford’s Scott Hogan knocked back.
Slaven Bilic has also been credited with an interest in the likes of Celtic’s Moussa Dembele, Stoke City’s Glen Johnson, Arsenal’s Carl Jenkinson and Crystal Palace’s Jason Puncheon.
The East Londoners made what is widely considered a very good signing when they splashed out £8million to bring Southampton captain Jose Fonte to the club with Angelo Ogbonna set for season-ending surgery.

Burnley have had a £10m bid for Snodgrass accepted while the deal to sign Hogan is still yet to bear fruit.
With wantaway Dimitri Payet looking set to leave, the Hammers are in need of added inspiration up front.
Some fans are disappointed the club has failed to bring in any strikers given the Payet situation and with injury-prone Andy Carroll their only recognised senior forward with Diafra Sakho out until March and Andre Ayew away at the African Nations.
West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold
But now Hammers chief Gold, who takes a backseat when it comes to transfers while fellow co-owner David Sullivan heads up the recruitment drive, has delivered a transfer update on Twitter to reassure fans.
“David Sullivan and his team are working 24/7 to land our targets,” Gold said on Twitter when asked about a lack of progress in the transfer market.
Gold also told fans any money the club makes through its ticket trader scheme goes straight to the manager’s recruitment fund.
Hammers fans and pundits point the finger of blame for their poor first half of the season squarely at the club’s terrible summer recruitment where free transfers and flop loan signings only served to dilute Bilic’s squad.
