West Ham are set to be able to pick Andy Carroll and Aaron Cresswell in the near future.

West Ham United owner David Gold has confirmed that both Aaron Cresswell and Andy Carroll are close to making it back to fitness.

Cresswell and Carroll have been long-term absentees for West Ham, but the pair are edging closer to making a return.

Cresswell could make his West Ham comeback at the weekend, when Slaven Bilic’s side take on Crystal Palace, while Carroll could follow the left-back off the treatment table a week later.

Cresswell’s expected return will be a major boost for West Ham, as they have missed him over the campaign so far.

The Hammers have struggled to replace Cresswell at left-back, despite trying a range of options.

Carroll being back fit again will also serve as a positive for Bilic, as he looks to get his side back on track.

West Ham have won just one Premier League match so far this season, and they currently sit down in 18th place in the table.

West Ham’s next two matches come against Crystal Palace and Sunderland.
