Could David Gold quit West Ham United?

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has claimed on social networking site Twitter that he could quit the club.

Gold has been the co-chairman of the Hammers since January 2010 and is a lifelong fan of the London club.

The English businessman has stated on Twitter that he would quit West Ham if the fans do not want him to be in charge.

Gold has the club’s best interests at heart, and he genuinely wants to make West Ham a force in English football in the coming years.

Such grand projects take time, and there are, and will be, ups and downs. West Ham fans need to be patient with him and the board.

While it is true that the Hammers are not having a great season and did not make the right signings in the summer of 2016, there is every possibility that in the coming years they could become top-10 regulars in the Premier League.
