The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder is a firm backer of the ‘flair’ duo.
David Ginola is a big fan of Christian Eriksen and Nacer Chadli – as well as Harry Kane, of course – according to the Daily Mirror.
The Frenchman singled the Tottenham duo out when describing the ‘promising’ aspects of the north London side’s season and went on to praise their ‘flair.’.
Naturally, though, Ginola had to add a line or two about the phenomenal season of 21-year-old star striker Kane.
The former Tottenham midfielder said: “I think it is looking really promising. They (Spurs) have the flair. People like Chadli and Eriksen without even mentioning Harry Kane.
“He has had a fantastic season. We have a bunch of guys who are pretty young who are capable of doing great things.”
| Premier League | Chances Created | Dribbles | Final-Third Passes | Appearances | Minutes Played |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Christian Eriksen | 80 | 46 | 600 | 37 | 3,049 |
| Erik Lamela | 57 | 54 | 312 | 32 | 2,209 |
| Nacer Chadli | 41 | 42 | 330 | 34 | 2,326 |
| Harry Kane | 27 | 50 | 276 | 33 | 2,496 |
| Danny Rose | 27 | 25 | 218 | 28 | 2,372 |
As Opta stats show, Eriksen has been by far Tottenham’s most creative player this season, also completing almost double the amount of final-third passes of anyone else in the Spurs squad.
In terms of dribbling ‘flair’, however, the north London side’s star is a man Ginola hasn’t even mentioned – Erik Lamela.
There has been debate about the Argentine’s Tottenham future of late, with reports (such as one in the Daily Mail) linking him with a move away from White Hart Lane – although boss Mauricio Pochettino wants him to stay with the club, according to the Daily Mirror.
Next season, it’ll be about getting those figures higher for all three of Eriksen, Chadli and Lamela in terms of competing with the rest of the Premier League – namely the top four.
