Speaking to the Mirror, former Arsenal chairman David Dein has lauded forward Alexis Sanchez.
Manager Arsene Wenger has moved the Chilean from the left wing into a central role this season.
It has proved to be a smart decision, with the Chilean currently sitting on 13 goals in all competitions, the Gunners top goal-scorer.
He has firmly established himself as Arsenal’s number one striker and arguably among the best in the Premier League.
His performances have earned rave reviews and high praise, with many believing he is firmly pushing to break into that elite level of player.
Dein has certainly been impressed and says Sanchez is extraordinarily talented.
“I think you’ve got to say he is world class – he is fantastic, a delight – certainly if he keeps on going,” he told the Mirror.
“He is extraordinarily talented, has a great attitude to the game and immense skill. He’s an exciting player.”
Arsenal will now be hoping that Sanchez can maintain his form and lead them on a title charge this season.
He has been impressive, to say the least, and they will need him to continue putting in high-level performances for them to challenge this year.
The Gunners are currently second in the table and just three points behind league leaders Chelsea.
They are the second highest scorers in the division to boot and continuing that record will play a big role in their title aspirations.
