David de Gea is excited to get back to action in the Champions League.
David de Gea is excited to make his Champions League return this week.
Manchester United take on PSV in their first group stage match, and the Spaniard is aiming to be selected after being picked against Liverpool at the weekend, an impressive 3-1 victory for the Red Devils.
He sent a message via his Twitter page last night, expressing his excitement to get going again.
De Gea’s excitement is especially so because the club did not play in the competition last season, and have not since David Moyes’ side were knocked out by Bayern Munich in the 2013/14 quarter-finals.
The goalkeeper did not feature in the qualifying matches with Club Brugge, due to his uncertain future at the club, which has since been answered by him signing a new deal.
United fortunately had the foresight to register De Gea in their Champions League squad and have him available to feature.
