Former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez scored for Bayer Leverkusen against AS Monaco in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Javier Hernandez’s heroics for Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League on Tuesday evening.
Hernandez scored for Bayer against AS Monaco away from home in Group E. The former United striker found the net in the 73rd minute to help the German club play out a 1-1 draw at Stade Louis II.
United goalkeeper De Gea was following the match, and he was impressed with the heroics of his former Old Trafford teammate.


Hernandez left United for Bundesliga outfit Bayer in the summer of 2015. The Mexico international has been a hit at the German club and has established himself as a key player for the team.
The 28-year-old striker scored 17 goals and created 27 chances in 28 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer last season.
So far this campaign, Hernandez has scored four goals and created eight chances in four league matches for Roger Schmidt’s side.
The striker has scored one goal in two Champions League matches for Bayer so far this season.
