Glasgow Rangers had David Bates to thank as they bagged the three points on his final appearance at Ibrox.

David Bates has taken to Twitter to comment on Rangers’ win on Saturday that saw the Gers get back to winning ways and allowed the centre-back to sign off at Ibrox in some style.
Bates is reaching his final weeks as a Rangers player as it was confirmed last month that he has decided to join Bundesliga strugglers Hamburg at the end of the season when his contract expires.

It is a huge blow for the Gers given that Bates has arguably been one of the side’s best performing players this term. And he seemed to remind the supporters of how great a loss it will be to lose him in the summer as he scored the game’s only goal when Kilmarnock visited Ibrox on Saturday.
It was Bates’ header in the final minutes that separated the two sides in the 21-year-old’s final appearance at the famous ground, and after the victory, he took to Twitter to comment on the win and the goal.

Here is what Bates posted…
Few would have imagined before the campaign began that Rangers would be reflecting upon how big a loss it would be to see Bates decide to leave the club, but he has certainly enjoyed a hugely impressive season and replacing him is going to be a big task for Steven Gerrard, especially with few candidates seemingly stepping forward in the current squad.
