Dave Sullivan, the son of West Ham United co-owner David, has praised skipper Mark Noble on Twitter.
West Ham United’s Mark Noble looks dejected
The Hammers skipper has come under fire for his below par performances this season and Slaven Bilic was under pressure to drop the homegrown star.
While nobody could question Noble’s passion and desire he – like most of the West Ham squad – failed to hit the heights of last season when the club finished just four points off the Champions League places.
He played an instrumental role in the season-defining 1-0 win over fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur last time out.
But on the eve of Sunday’s match against Liverpool, the club has announced on its official website that Noble has been battling on through the pain barrier with a double hernia.
With the club mathematically safe from relegation courtesy of the three points against Spurs, Noble has been sent for surgery and will miss the final two games.

And Dave Sullivan, the son of Hammers co-owner David, delivered an emphatic verdict on Noble in a Twitter post.
“Now this is what you call commitment,” Sullivan said.
Noble’s selflessness is similar to that of defender Angelo Ogbonna who played on for the first half of the season with a knee injury until the Hammers could sign Jose Fonte in January before having a season-ending operation.
Both players showed attitude and dedication that is in direct contrast to Dimitri Payet who effectively downed tools in order to force a return to Marseille earlier this season.
Noble gesture?
But West Ham fans are very much divided over Noble’s conduct.
And they did not take kindly to Sullivan’s praise, angrily trolling the co-owner’s son.
