Barstool Sports owner Dave Portnoy has not held back in his review of the World Cup final halftime show.

The halftime entertainment might have been the most memorable part of the final, given the game was so lacklustre.

However, that is not to say the show was a resounding success, as there has already been plenty of criticism online.

Portnoy did not wait long before posting his brutal reaction to the inaugural halftime show on social media.

Dave Portnoy gives blunt verdict on the World Cup halftime show

Dave Portnoy was not impressed by the World Cup final halftime show, which was organised by Coldplay’s Chris Martin.

Firstly, Portnoy mocked world-famous South Korean boy band BTS by saying that they “looked like teenage girls.”

He also claimed that Ted Lasso looked “out of place” during his cameo, which led to Justin Bieber’s performance.

As many others have suggested, Portnoy could not understand why Bieber played a “super slow jam” in a moment of celebration.

However, Portnoy was mightily impressed with Shakira, who performed the official World Cup anthem, ‘Dai dai’, alongside Burna Boy.

Overall, the Barstool Sports founder was less than impressed with the halftime show, leaving room for improvement in 2030.

Having said that, most football fans outside of the United States would probably rather the show be scrapped from the itinerary.
