Steven Gerrard’s Ibrox club Glasgow Rangers are aiming to finish second behind Old Firm rivals Celtic.
Rangers manager Steven Gerrard
Celtic are set to win the Scottish Premiership title this season, with Rangers aiming to finish second behind their bitter Old Firm rivals.
The Gers do have a good team and signed some very good players in the summer of 2018 and in the January transfer window, such as Connor Goldson and Jermain Defoe (on loan).
Rangers, though, do need to make more signings and strengthen their team in order to compete with Celtic, and Gers chairman King has suggested that manager Gerrard will get funds in the summer transfer window – comments which will surely please the Liverpool legend.
King wrote on Rangers’ official website: “The team requires a further upgrade and the Board will continue to back Mark and Steven, who fully understand that Rangers must win titles and cups and plans are already in place for recruitment in the summer window.”

Challenging Celtic
Celtic have the best team in Scotland, and it is going to be hard for Rangers to beat their bitter Old Firm rivals next season.
However, if the Gers are able to make the right signs in the summer transfer window, then they will have a very good chance of at least giving Celtic a run for their money.
