Gerrard was in the BT Sport studio covering the game, meaning King could have easily spoken to him during his visit, and Rangers fans have been taking to Twitter to react.
Some believe that it can’t be a coincidence, and King must have been there to talk to Gerrard about the job, with others still not quite believing that the former England international is in the running, and there may be no link between King’s trip to Anfield and Gerrard’s odds crashing.
