Wolverhampton Wanderers’ David Edwards celebrates scoring their first goal with Cameron Borthwick-Jackson
Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Dave Edwards has commented on the current manager situation at the Molineux.
The Championship side are currently without a manager after the sacking of Walter Zenga. Sky Sports have reported this week that Nigel Pearson, Tim Sherwood and Paul Lambert are the three men on the shortlist for the Wolves job.

Edwards was appearing on Sky Sports News HQ today (02/11/16) when he was asked his thoughts on the potential for that trio to take over as the new head coach at Wolves in the near future.
Edwards, had this to say on the matter:
“All good experienced managers. I think they are all good contenders.

“They’re all British managers as well so they’ll know the culture as well.
“I can’t really comment on who I’d like to have in but I think whoever they appoint they’ll do their due diligence and make sure it’s the right man for the job.
“Hopefully we’ll be able to march on up the table.”
Wolves seem set to appoint a British manager, something that has seemingly pleased Wales international Edwards.

The trio being mentioned are all exciting for different reasons and will all want to get back into the game after ending their most recent stints in management sourly. Paul Lambert left Blackburn Rovers in the summer after minimal impact at Ewood Park. Tim Sherwood was sacked by Aston Villa early last season whilst Pearson was sacked by Derby County after a poor start to the new campaign and disagreements with the club management.
Wolves will hope whoever they do appoint does better at Molineux.
