Sunderland have improved significantly under the stewardship of Chris Coleman.

Darron Gibson has taken a dig at Simon Grayson with his comments in the Sunderland Echo.
Grayson had a difficult spell at Sunderland over the early part of the campaign, when he guided the Black Cats to just one league victory.
Chris Coleman has come in and already sparked an improvement in Sunderland’s form, with the Wearsiders now claiming four points from their first four matches.

And Gibson has suggested that Grayson’s tactics at the Stadium of Light were too defensive.
The central midfielder said: “Under Simon Grayson there was a bit of pressure on us not to concede goals, it was a little bit negative. The new man has come in and everything is more positive, it’s about what we need to do this to beat them. He put a positive spin on everything which gives us more confidence.”
Sunderland’s latest result was a 0-0 draw against league leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers, which has earned them a lot of credit.

Coleman still has work to do if he is to save his side from relegation and take them away from the drop zone though.
Sunderland are currently in 23rd place in the Championship table, but they are now just one point away from safety.
Sunderland’s next game comes against Fulham at the Stadium of Light, when they will be looking to win in front of their own supporters for the first time in 2017.
