The Everton midfielder has been impressed by the Blues youngsters in pre-season.

Everton midfielder Darron Gibson has praised the club’s youngsters during an interview with the club’s official website, singling out Tom Davies in particular for praise.
The Blues are currently busy with their pre-season preparations as they look to build their fitness ahead of the new season.
This week saw them conclude a training camp in Austria with a friendly win over FK Jablonec, courtesy of a goal from defender Brendan Galloway.

Ronald Koeman took a number of youngsters with him on the trip, and Gibson has been impressed by what he has seen, singling out midfielder Davies in particular for praise.
“They have looked comfortable and have been quite involved all week,” he told evertonfc.com.
“Tom Davies looked sharp even playing out of position, but all the young lads have come in, looked confident and done well.”

It remains to be seen whether any of the current crop of youngsters can feature under Koeman at Everton next season.
He was not averse to giving youth a chance during his time at St Mary’s and he is unlikely to drop that philosophy after making the move to the Blues.
With a busy summer transfer window involving big signings expected this summer though, it will be intriguing to discover if he sticks by that policy moving forward.
