West Bromwich Albion have made seven signings this summer, but Darren Moore has hinted that the Baggies want a couple more.

In comments reported by the Express and Star, Darren Moore has hinted that West Brom have their eye on one or two more players during the final days of the summer transfer window.

The Baggies have enjoyed an incredibly busy summer, with seven signings coming through The Hawthorns door, including the likes of Sam Johnstone and Kyle Bartley arriving on a permanent basis.

It has been a mixed start to the campaign for West Brom however, with seven points coming in their first five games. So perhaps it is unsurprising that Moore has his eye on a couple of late deals while the loan window remains open.

“We’re continuing to search,” he said, as reported by the Express and Star. “We’ve got one or two targets in mind.

“If it’s possible we’d like to get them done. There’s a couple of targets we’ve viewed. We’ll let the process take it’s course.”

It would not be a surprise if the Baggies were prioritising signing a new right-back. Craig Dawson recently returned to action after a turbulent summer, but Allan Nyom’s loan exit has left the side lacking options in that area of the field.

The Baggies boast a lot of quality right across the pitch, but perhaps if they could also bring in a player who adds even more class to the ranks, they should jump at the chance to get something done.

They may not have made the best start, but those ahead of the Baggies in the Championship may already be bracing themselves to come under a lot of pressure once it all clicks for West Brom. And with a couple more signings through the door, it would surely become even more likely that the Baggies will soon be the promotion-contenders that many expect them to be.
