West Bromwich Albion were too good for Stoke City at the weekend.
West Brom boss Darren Moore spoke to reporters after his side’s win over Stoke City on Saturday, and shared the one thing that disappointed him about their display, as quoted by the Express & Star.
The Black Country outfit currently sit in ninth position in the Championship table, having taken 10 points from their opening six league games, and many fans and pundits are backing them to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
West Brom’s win over Stoke was more comfortable than the final scoreline suggested, after the Potters scored in the 95th minute to peg the Baggies back to 2-1.
And Moore wasn’t entirely satisfied with his side’s performance.
When speaking to reporters, the West Brom boss insisted that his team need to be more clinical than they were on Saturday, as quoted by the Express & Star:
“I’m really pleased with the three points on an afternoon when it was a good team performance. It could have been more. If we’d been a bit more clinical we could have scored more goals but it’s always good to have a goal threat and if we keep getting into those positions I’m sure we’ll score more than we miss.”
Next up for the Baggies is a trip to St Andrews to take on Birmingham City on September 14th, and Moore will be hoping that his team are much more clinical in front of goal against Garry Monk’s side.
